"See you have it wrong as usual if you are going to talk about Area 51 that is the cover up for the real underground base which is in New Mexico."
So who is right AMP you or FJ? Is "51" in New Mexico or Nevada, it seems someone can't get the facts straight. Having said that I know there is an Area 51 and that it is a secret base, but I don't believe for a minute it ever housed creatures from outer space as all conspiracy people do. It seems both you and FJ have trouble with metaphors. There was no conspiracy to cover up aliens at "51" and so for there has been no information to suggest other then one nutjob caused Ft Hood.

FJEP:
I use a range of sources for my references, including Wiki, but also distinguished scholarly publications, such as Levine's book, published by Oxford University Press. I've used other sources to demolish the myth of black Confederate soldiders, but I prefer to cite the leading scholar on the subject--Bruce Levine, whose book is heavily documented with footnotes.
Unlike Sweetbutt, I tend to shy away from white supremacist and neo-Confederate web sites that look like the ones that document Martians landing in Roswell, New Mexico.
By the way, Walter Williams is an Economics professor at George Mason University, and his homepage at the university lists no publications regarding Black Confederates, and the website that pastes in a picture of Williams on black confederates is flying a Confederate flag. It's a bogus website.
I'm sure Sweetbutt would trust a website flying a Confederate flag more than a scholarly publication by Oxford University Press.
It seems Sweetbutt would believe a Martian landing in New Mexico if he could find it on a website flying a Confederate flag.

The original House version:
Southern Democrats: 7-87 (7%-93%)
Southern Republicans: 0-10 (0%-100%)
Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%-6%)
Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%-15%)
The Senate version:
Southern Democrats: 1-20 (5%-95%) (only Senator Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor)
Southern Republicans: 0-1 (0%-100%) (this was Senator John Tower of Texas)
Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%-2%) (only Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia opposed the measure)
Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%-16%) (Senators Bourke Hickenlooper of Iowa, Barry Goldwater of Arizona, Edwin L. Mechem of New Mexico, Milward L. Simpson of Wyoming, and Norris H. Cotton of New Hampshire opposed the measure)
It appears southern repubs were not alone.

Virginia has voted GOP in every presidential election since 1968.
Arkansas has voted GOP in every presidential election since 1972 except for 1976 for Carter and 1992 and 1996 for Clinton.
New Mexico is west of the Mississippi.

Obama has so many good choices. Richardson from New Mexico, Jim Webb, Grahm from Florida, and on and on.
I think McCain is boxed in by his ideology. He probably wants Romney but the wingnuts will throw the Mormon book at him. Powell won't accept it. Maybe he could get his old friend John Kerry to be his running mate....
Thats should stir up the righty's
